One of the most difficult situations to see is a family that deeply loves their pet, but without some form of financial assistance will not be able to properly care for that beloved family member. We’ve seen the pain on their faces when they realize that they can’t afford to properly care for their pet, but know they need to find a way.
What does the Badger Animal Fund do?
The Badger Animal Fund provides financial assistance for such situations. Through generous personal and corporate monetary donations, we are able to provide funds to allow the animals to receive the help they need so they can continue to enrich our lives.
The idea is to provide assistance for an animal in a crisis that otherwise would not receive care. There must be a reasonable expectation of success and the intervention should enhance the bond between people and animals. The fund does not provide for routine, preventative care, that should be provided by a veterinarian on a routine basis.
How does the Badger Animal Fund work?
Any concerned person can apply for financial assistance to the Badger Animal Fund Committee on behalf of an animal in need. The Committee has complete discretion to decide the amount of and conditions for funds granted. In non-emergency cases, the board will make decisions at its monthly meeting.
The Badger Animal Fund is solely sponsored by donations. Private donations are welcome and encouraged. The fund encourages and accepts donations intended to honor and memorialize animals with whom you had a special bond.
