Rachel O’Leary, a veterinary student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and 2011 graduate of Parker High School, is one of two recipients of the Friends of Noah 2018 scholarship. These scholarships are made available to veterinary students from Rock County as part of the organization’s educational outreach commitment to the community.
Upon graduation, Rachel hopes to practice food animal medicine, focusing on dairy medicine and advanced reproductive work. Her goal is to return to her home area so that she can become a larger part of her family’s dairy farm while also helping the community with their veterinary needs. Eventually, she would like to become more involved in legislative work to help the voices of the veterinary profession and agricultural community be heard. Rachel says “Without scholarships such as this one, fulfilling this dream would not be possible."
