Her name is Smokey now.She is doing great. She is not as needy as she wa was when I first adopted her.. She does enjoy sitting on my bed when I sleep at night. But she really loves taking naps with me.Spooky was adopted in August 2025.
Jack, formerly known as Freddy, is doing very well. His name was changed as we already have a Freddie. He is affectionate and friendly to everyone. Our 4 year old granddaughter and Jack have fun together. He is Very out going and curious. He Likes to sit in our laps. He also likes to wrestle with our cat Freddie who is 4 years old and larger than Jack. Freddy was adopted in August 2025.
“Lola is the queen of our household!” Lola came to live with Judy, her husband and 3 other senior dogs. Since then, she has enjoyed her life spent lounging in or by the pool, chasing wildlife on their wooded property, and barking at the 4 wheelers that pass by on the trail. She has earned her spot at the head of the bed, curled up with her own little blanket, next to her mom and dad.

Amy met Gus when he was being fostered through FON. She knew she would be getting a dog soon, but was waiting for the right one to come along. You could say it was love at first sight for both of them! Gus’s sweet face and loving personality drew Amy in the second she met him. His favorite things these days are napping, giving kisses, going on walks, and chewing on his Benebone. He adores his mom so much that he follows her everywhere. He’s been loving having her all to himself while she’s off work for the summer. We’re so happy that Amy met Gus and had to “say yes!”

Remember sweet little Alise? She first joined Friends of Noah in spring 2023—and it didn’t take long for this feline royalty to charm her way into a purr-ever home. These days, Princess Alise has traded her rescue roots for a royal ride, proudly reigning over her neighborhood from the comfort of her beloved cat stroller.
Her adopters continue to gush about the incredible care she received while with us:
“Friends of Noah saved Alise's life. Cindy gave her extraordinary love and attention as a tiny kitten. She's now been the center of our universe for two years and five days—and we just got back from our daily stroll in her cat carriage!”
171 days. 4104 hours. This is how long Arty was with Friends of Noah. It warmed our hearts when he was adopted with his new BFF (Best Furry Friend), Wallace at the end of September.
When Artemis first arrived at Friends of Noah, he was so shy he would actually hide under a mat in a ‘cat cubby’! Slowly but surely, he came out of his shell. First, he made friends with a black cat named Zoey. However, as other cats arrived at the Adoption Center, that ‘friendship’ seemed to wane. Then came a little kitten named Wallace. Within a short period of time, Wally brought out the kitten in 2-year-old Arty and they’ve been best buddies ever since!
Despite his length of time with us, he settled into his new home nicely. Arty, of course, was a bit more cautious than Wally. In a few short weeks, Arty has not only made himself at home, but is even starting to become a ‘lap’ cat!
It took a while to find the right ‘fur’ever home - but the wait was worth it! We hope both Arty and Wally have years of happiness with their new family ♥
Shelby and Harley (Liam)
“After the passing of our 12-year-old cat, we found Shelby on Petfinder and drove an hour and 45 minutes (each way) to come meet and adopt her. She was so purrrfect, that 1 1/2 weeks later, we decided to also adopt her brother Liam (Now Harley), so made the trip again! They are both so sweet and it's so fun watching the two of them play and cuddle together! They love the 2 tall cat trees we have and even watching rainstorms together - They are such a joy in our lives!”

I adopted 2 kitties (previously named Hercules and Panda, now Packer and Roomer) on June 16, 2021. Packer and Roomer were adopted 4 months to the day of my husbands death. The unconditional love and joy they have filled my life with is beyond words. They took away my sadness and bring me laughter and cuddles every day. I am so glad they chose me! Thank you for helping this precious baby find her way to us. Madison-Lou (Hershey) did very well her first night home. She found me in the night and jumped in bed and snuggled up to me purring off and on all night and “massaging” me with her paws. She’s such a love!! Today she’s hiding out some and quietly venturing out when she wants to. She definitely likes to wait until either John or I are relaxed and then jumps up and gets super cozy giving the best cuddles. I’m so proud of her and happy to see she’s learning to trust us as quickly as she is.

Gwen and Gabby may have celebrated their first birthday in Covid-quarantine, but they aren’t letting that stop them!
From their owners: “Gabby and Gwen are doing great; it's hard to remember what life was like before they joined the family. Gabby loves spending the day in Belle's memory foam dog bed, and Belle even joined her, but only the one time. Glad I got a picture because it may never happen again. Gwen is an absolute maniac every morning. She and Gabby fly around the house and sound like a herd of elephants running back and forth on our wood floors. Then they settle in for hours of napping before their evening activities. Gabby will tolerate snuggles and occasionally honor me with a purr, but Gwen is my main snuggle bunny. She has the best little motor. Gwen is a bit of a stinker but when she's good, she's very good. Kind of like that old story about the girl with the curl of hair on her forehead.
They are both loving the warmer weather and having open windows to sit in. Nick and I have coffee in our sunroom every morning and Gabby has lots of birds and chipmunks to squawk at outside by my bird feeders. “

In March, Ellen and Mark welcomed Grover and Gunner to their family - and a part of our family they have become. They have made new friends with the other cats, and have found that there are a lot of great places to hang out. They are a little spoiled ♥

Zoey came to Friends of Noah as a kitten in 2016. Now she is part of the ‘Sesame Street Gang’ with Bert, Oscar and Grover! Zoey spends her nights running the house with Grover but loves to snuggle with Oscar. Thank you Diana for giving Zoey the purr-fect furever home ♥

Earl came to Friends of Noah of Noah 2 1/2 year ago as a fluffy ball of energy! Since he was adopted, Earl had a name change and has fully embraced being a ‘fluffball’ ♥ We’re so happy that he has found such a pawsome home!

Meet Charlotte, who brightened our family 8 years ago and is a very important member of our family.
Charlotte spent the first 2 years of her life in a puppy mill where she spent all of her time in a crate. When first coming to our home, she was very scared and didn't know how to play seeing she was never given the chance where she originally came from. She was very timid and was unsure as to what love even was. Today, Charlotte is a very different dog. She is warm, loving, and a major part of our family who greets us at the door with a toy in her mouth and tail wagging waiting to play. Her favorite foods include healthy veggies, fruits, and pumpkin! Every night involves her opening the bed and giving kisses before lying down for sleep. Charlotte still gets nervous around others outside our household, but she always tries her best to be friendly to our guests and adventure outside her comfort zone. To this day, we are not quite sure who rescued who.
Kalisse is adjusting super well and is being ‘loved to pieces’ by her new family! ♥
Bert came to Friends in Noah in June 2017 as an 8 week old unadoptable feral. He was the first kitten to escape out of a crate where he ended up getting in the rafters of a basement and had to be live trapped in the house! We are grateful to have found a foster that specializes in taming feral cats and he has been with her since January 2018. He now loves the family and has claimed them as his own!
Cinnamon came to Friends of Noah from a hoarding situation where she lived on a dirt lot under campers. After spending about 5 months in ‘foster care’, we welcomed Cinnamon into our family on March 18th, 2017. She was about 16 months old and 12 pounds. Considering her history, her foster mom did a wonderful job with her as she could sit and was fully potty trained. She was a wonderful addition to our family of dogs.
Cinnamon is very special. She has so much appreciation for her life, probably because she was a rescue! She is gentle, loving and listens. She gives kisses and hugs and loves to be held. She plays and plays with the other dogs and loves to clean their ears and eyes. Her New Life is so rewarding and we are so grateful to have her!
